SKS 66 // Weld couplings
SKS 66 weld couplings are used with the hexagonal shaft with a wrench size of 26 mm. This hexagonal shaft is found, among others, on the EWA 5x series and the LZG 20 gear units. The coupling features one-sided axial locking and is centered for tubes with outer or inner diameter. The coupling is welded to the ends of the on-site connecting tubes and then slid onto the shaft end of the gear unit. It is made of weldable steel, untreated, with version SKS 66.6036 being hot-dip galvanized.
Note: The connecting tube and the coupling must be aligned. A jig should be used during installation, and approximately 3 mm of expansion clearance should be allowed between the coupling and the gear unit shaft to ensure a secure connection.
